CHA’s Owner Symposium Helps Owners Understand the Benefits of the HCV Program

On Sept. 25, the 2025 CHA Owner Symposium brought hundreds property owners and industry professionals representing thousands of rental units together to talk all things housing.

The free seminar, now in its 16th year, is designed to help property owners understand the benefits of participating in the HCV program, including guaranteed rent, low turnover and incentive payments for new property owners leasing in Mobility Areas. This year’s event included discussions on Fair Housing, safe and happy homes and an HCV program “Town Hall.”

“We cannot be successful without property owners participating in the HCV program, and so this is this is one way that we support those owners,” said Cheryl Burns, CHA’s Chief of the HCV department. “The Owner Symposium helps owners understand the benefits of working with our program while also providing access to valuable trainers and training.”
