Effective immediately, the Chicago Housing Authority (CHA) Board of Commissioners has appointed Matthew Brewer to serve as the agency’s Operating Chairman until a Chief Executive Officer is approved by the Board. Brewer has been a Commissioner on CHA’s Board since 2013. He was named Vice Chairman in November 2021 and has been acting as Interim Chairman since October 31, 2024.
